How do I create my profile?
Once you have joined and activated your account, go to 'my account' which is up the top right corner of the screen. Go to 'My Details' to input and change the information about you.

What is an avatar?
Your avatar can be changed in the 'My Details' section. Here you will see a browse field where you can find an image to use as your avatar on your harddrive, and then upload it to The Border Corner. Your avatar is a small picture that appears next to each post you make in the forum, and also on your profile page. It can be of anything you like - one of your dogs, yourself, or another interest (perhaps a football or a cartoon character). Avatars are 130pxX130px, but it will be automatically resized when you upload it.

How do I create a profile for my borders?

Please ensure you have selected the correct category for your item. All fields are optional. If you make a mistake, or want to update your borders' profile, simply return to the 'My Borders' page and click your borders' name.

What is the BorderCorner.com field?
This field makes a URL easy for you to remember. For example, I used 'MacDogald' for Mac, so to get to his webpage, I enter "BorderCorner.com/MacDogald".

How do I post photos of my border?
Go to 'my borders' and go to your border terrier's page (click your borders' name). Go to the bottom of the page and you will see 10 image browse fields. Click the browse button and locate the folder on your hard drive with the photos you'd like to display on your profile. If you wish to post photos from another website, please save them to your hard drive first and then browse to that folder and select them. When ready, click the Update button at the bottom and your photos will be uploaded, re-sized and become a part of our database. The Profile photos are rescaled to 700 pixels in width, variable height. Please ensure your images are at least this size or they will appear distorted.

How do I use the new Notes feature?
Notes provide more information on your borders! To make use of this, you must enter your results with a line by line format, like:
BOB at Random Champ Show
RUBOB at Another Champ Show
BOB at Super Champ Show
This is just as before, but now you enter the notes using [note] tags underneath the item in question, like this:
BOB at Random Champ Show
[note]He finally beat his dad! I'm so proud.[/note]
RUBOB at Another Champ Show
[note]Can't complain as we were beaten by the stunning Border at Kennel.[/note]
BOB at Super Champ Show
[note]Our first BOB![/note]
When someone views your profile, they can click on one of the entries with a note attached and they will see your note about it.

What is the Groups feature?
The Groups feature allows a member to create a group and then other members can join it. It is currently only a basic system at the moment but will be expanded in the future. You can be a member of up to 5 groups.

What is a blog? How do I blog?
A blog is like an internet diary or journal, normally with very short entries. On The Border Corner, your blog entries can be as long as you like and will be displayed in your profile and, while they're new and fresh, on the front page. To start blogging, go to 'my account' in the top right hand corner, then go to 'my blog' in the my account menu.
